Dear Parents:
As you know, our country’s economy has been hurt in many ways. People through out the United States are stretching every dollar that they earn to care for their families. Churches are feeling constraints to their ministries due to funding issues as well. Our vision for day camp was as a ministry to our community and its families. We have been blessed to serve you and your children for these years, but we are sorry to say that we will not be able to have
any day camps in 2009/2010.
As we covered in parent’s meetings, our day camp program was designed by the church to be self-funding. Our church allowed us to use the facilities without charge to the program, but did not/does not budget for a day camp. In years past, we were able to fund this program with the fees charged and collected, but this year we fell short of funding the program. There were many contributory factors to this event, but the bottom line is that we lost money.
It is our greatest desire to see you find a summer camp that will provide for a safe and loving environment for your child(ren). God bless you and your family.
Sincerely,
Jim Smith, Minister of Assimilation & Spiritual Growth
Brenda Willis, Minister of Children
Bobbie Dozier, Children & Preschool Ministry Associate
